BEWARE OF LONG POST ( And Negative(but logical) stuff against Twilight)
In my opinion Twilight is, I can honestly say the worst book I have ever read.

Bella: I love you Edward
Edward: I love you too you are so beautiful
Bella: No YOU are so beautiful. I love you. You're all sparkly
Edward: You are the most perfect creature ever
1000 pages and 3 books later
Bella: I love you Edward
Edward: I love you you are so beautiful
Bella: No YOU are so beautiful. I love you. You're all sparkly and now we have a mutant child together HOORAY!

OMFG it's just them proliferating their love for each other for 1000+ pages. And right at the end, Smeyers is like I FORGOT, I NEED A PLOT and throws some crap in.

My first problem is the main characters. Every single one is a Mary Sue. They're one dimensional with little to no personality at all. Take Edward, the guy every single girl is supposed to drool over. Edward Cullen is not hot, he is a creepy stalker. He follows her around, he won't let her drive, and he gives her a c-section with his teeth. Come on that's gross. I have yet to see any proof that Bella and Edward's relationship is based on anything but looks. I grew up learning that you should love someone for who they are, not the way they look. Great example to all the ids out there. He has all the classic traits of a stalker. He beats her up when they're having sex, and it's portrayed as being some sick kind of romance. Yeah I would swoon if that happened to me.

And Bella, a girl who is supposed to be a role model to all the young girls reading Twilight. She's supposedly a normal, average girl, with faults. As far as I can tell her only fault is that she is "clumsy" which everyone seems to find endearing so isn't really a fault at all. And what's with her supposedly being average looking? Yeah-ok because it's not like every guy in the school want to be in her pants. At my high school all the guys went for the average girl, definitely. She's basically a product of Smeyer's fantasy. I think that's sick. Bella has no aims, no hopes, no dreams for herself. Girls aspire to this. Bella cannot function without a man. When Edward leaves her she completely falls apart and is only able to pull herself together when she's found another guy to replace him. She's willing to give away her future, her education, her entire life so she can be with Edward forever, with total disregard to the consequences not only to herself but everyone around her. I think that's a disgusting lesson to be teaching young girls, who are so obviously and easily influenced by their surroundings.

Then we get onto the writing itself. I'm finding it difficult to comprehend how such an amateur writer is being held in such high esteem. Smeyer writes like she's swallowed a thesaurus and apparently doesn't know the meaning of Purple Prose. She repeats the same words and phrases over and over again. It seemed the word "chagrin" was written twice every page. Her books have more plot holes and inconsistencies than swiss cheese. . I cannot understand how Edward can have sperm still living in his body, one hundred years after he died? And that sperm didn't only survive but the chromosomes in it changed? It's ridiculous. She gets around her problems by saying her novels are "fantasy" therefore normal rules don't apply. But then she rapes general fantasy rules and claims she can do this because her vampires are based more on science… Which one is it? The books have little to no plot. Seriously I'm fairly sure the entire series is just Edward and Bella making out for 1000 pages with a New Moon size gap where Bella pines.

Then there are the actual fans of Twilight. I know I shouldn't use this against Twilight but gosh damn they're annoying. I'm fairly sure 97% of Twilight fans are under the age of 18 and 96% of those are female. Do you know what it's like to be constantly told "I'm just jealous" of Twilight's popularity? That Twilight is the most amazing thing ever and I'm obviously an idiot? I'm not an expert on literature. I'm not study English at a university level. But I am an aspiring author. I'm not some teeny bopper who has read two books in my entire life.

And finally, Stephen King, best selling author for decades said on Twilight and its comparison to Harry Potter:
"The real difference is that Jo Rowling is a terrific writer and Stephenie Meyer can't write worth a darn," he said. "She's not very good."

I think you just described every fault with Twilight that's been going through people's minds since people first started to hate it in 6 paragraphs. And that, is truly amazing.
It's funny though, with each new movie that comes out, the hate and love for Twilight just seems to bounce right back to where it was in the first place. Now i haven't read any of the books, nor have i seen more than the first movie, but with even less facts on my part to back up what i would say, i couldn't find a better way to point out all true faults with the book. And besides, the other main difference between J.K. Rowling and Stephenie Meyer is that, Harry Potter may be fantasy, but at lease JKR took the time to make the book make sense.
I've literally read one page of New Moon, after being told about what the whole thing was about and it still didn't make sense.
